Concept Development for ‘Seal Force 5’

Consultation in IP development and monetization is one area of business we are growing. We have started assisting small and medium-sized US companies to break into the global market place.

This is a concept developed by our Singapore staff for our US Client. We helped them to redesign the characters and revamp the bible so that the story and characters are more suitable for licensing and merchandising - toys, computer games, etc.

We also connect our clients to international partners and distributors. We are happy that the show has been picked up by distributor now. ( Related link )

Mid-Autumn Celebration In Office

13th Sept 2019: Supposed to be the Mid-Autumn celebration. But it’s actually a junk food party. Fried chicken, pizza, ice cream and bubble tea. I can tell the young generation appreciate this more than a buffet. Who cares as long as the crew is happy. Ha Ha.

We have a wonderful collaboration with Taiwan Shih Chien University (http://www.kh.usc.edu.tw/bin/home.php) Every year, their students visit our studio and we share our knowledge with them. The purpose of this collaboration is to expose the students to actual production environment in overseas to better prepare them for the industry. The students are picked from the department (資訊模擬與設計學系).

9th July 2019 - So good to see Alvin Yap again after so many years. I have first known Alvin in 1999 when I first started Singapore Animators Connection. During that time, he was still in the University. In 2006 - he also helped us teach the first batch of CG Protege students in 2006. In the early years, we have worked on some small projects together. He later furthered his career in the US, Canada and Uk. Since then, he has worked on several block busters and major VFX studios. So glad to see him doing so well in the industry.

7th June - Gao was our head of Animation and Pauline was our art director. After they got married, they both have furthered their career in UK. We are really happy to see them doing well in Uk.
It’s so nice of them dropping by our office. They are like family to us.
In Tiny Island, many of our staff met their life partner in our studio. They are like our family and we are very grateful that they always think of us even though they have ventured out.
Some of them even come back to join us after all these years. The company is like the mothership. We are always happy to see them. We all have grown up together with the studio. They all have a special place in our hearts.
